WCF boosts Latin America, African film

BERLIN -- Latin American cinema was the main focus in the Berlinale's World Cinema Fund latest round of production funding. The initiative, that helps film industries in developing regions, selected four Latin American game game titles then one African title, including Jose Luis Valle's Mexican production "Employees," from Zensky Cine, which received 40,000 ($54,070) and Celina Murga's Argentinean pic "Third Bank in the River," from Tresmilmundos Cine and Berlin-based Rommel Film, which likewise won $54,070.
